The CA26V consists of a partially assembled cabinet with surface mounting for indoor use and comes with a door. The protection class is standardly II (double insulated), but can be upgraded to protection class I with a grounding kit (accessory). The degree of protection is normally IP44. It complies with the applicable standards: DIN EN 61439-1, VDE 0660-600-1, DIN EN 61439-3, VDE 0660-600-3. The distributor has a rated operating voltage Ue of 400V AC 50/60 Hz and a rated current In of 125 A. The housing is powder coated, in RAL 9016, and is made of sheet steel, just like the door. The dimensions are 950 x 550 x 160 mm.

The model also features several equipment features, such as a 90-degree turn-lock, an integrated cable clamping rail, and a removable device carrier. The cable entry at the top is via a mounted membrane flange, while a flange opening is pre-stamped at the bottom. The plastic cover is coloured in RAL 7035, while the door is kept in RAL 9016.
